The Selma Housing Authority (SHA) held an Easter event on March 23 at the George Washington Carver complex.
SHA board chairman Sean VanDiver served as the easter bunny and handed out gifts to the kids. An assortment of eggs was handed out and the kids played games.
Cotton candy, snow cones, “YNOT” Food Truck with hotdogs and hamburgers, “Coolslides” bouncy slide, BINGO, Easter Egg Hunt, DJ Barack, NACA and Choice Neighborhood information tables were served.
SHA Executive Director Kennard Randolph said he was thrilled with how the event lasted a day before Palm Sunday.
“We are thrilled to have hosted another successful Easter Egg Hunt for our residents,” Randolph said. “Events like these not only bring joy and excitement but also strengthen the bonds within our community.”
Randolph thanked COO Cicely Curtis and Director of Resident Services, and Director Beverly Blackmon for the easter success.
“Their dedication and hard work ensured that residents of all ages enjoyed a festive and memorable experience,” Randolph said. ‘’The Selma Housing Authority remains committed to organizing engaging and meaningful events that enrich the lives of its residents and contribute to the vibrant community spirit of Selma.”
