Dallas County Commission discusses county road repair

The Dallas County Commission is looking into repairing County Roads (CR) 808 and 349.
At the March 11 commission meeting, Lorzeno Tolbert, Bary Harrell and Jessie Tompkins inquired about constructing a new bridge on CR 808. Harrell gave the commission and Probate Judge Jimmy Nunn documents detailing needed repairs.
Another part of the citizen’s concerns session, Adolph Goldsby asked about repairing CR 349.
Dallas County Engineer Anthony Crear said the road is an ongoing project and will be looked at. Crear also CR 349 has been documented and he will look at the road.
The final part of citizen’s concerns included discussion of a Selma-Dallas County Mental Wellness Day program on May 18 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Wallace Community College in Selma.
Nunn also said the Dallas County Courthouse will be closed on March 29, in observance of Good Friday, followed by Easter Sunday two days later.
