Keith High School guard Trey Tisdale was chosen to play in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Basketball game.
The 12-person roster for both boys and girls teams was announced on Feb. 17 by the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association (AHSADCA). Coaches’ nominations were chosen by the AHSADCA All-Star Selection Committee.
“My hard work is paying off,” said Tisdale, who averaged 23 points, seven rebounds and six assists per game.
Tisdale is the first Keith player picked for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game since John Pettway in 2016. The other area player selected was William Lee of Dallas County High School in 2014.
‘’I’m happy for him, he’s worked extremely hard for it and it’s well deserved,” said Bears coach Marcus Turner.
Brandon Dean, director of the AHSADCA, said the selections for both teams were hard to make.
“Once again our selection committee has completed a very difficult task and has done an outstanding job,” Dean said.
The games will be played March 9 at the A.E. Wood Coliseum at Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi.
