A Valley Grande man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning outside Selma.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Corporal Reginal M. King,  James B. Tucker, 62, was fatally injured when the 1990 GMC 1500 pickup he drove left the roadway and struck a tree.

King said that Tucker was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday morning on U.S. Highway 80 near the 71-mile marker, 10 miles west of Selma.

No further details are available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the accident.
