The spirit of Christmas was spread across Selma and Dallas County during the four days leading up to Christmas Day.

We saw several charitable acts that took place around Dec. 23 and Christmas Eve at churches and organizations across the area.

Since Kennard Randolph became Executive Director of the Selma Housing Authority five years ago, one of his goals was to improve conditions in four project areas – Felix Heights, George Washington Carver Homes, Valley Creek Apartments and Rangedale Apartments- with toy giveaways.

Randolph always assures that every child in the four housing areas walks away with a toy.

We’re always impressed at Gospel Tabernacle Pastor John E. Grayson for leading  the church’s annual coat and toy drive.

We applaud the works of Randolph and Grayson for working tirelessly to make lives better for residents in Selma and Dallas County. They deserve pats on the back and so does their supporters.
