Our opinion: Have a Merry Christmas

For some of us, the Christmas weekend began on Friday. Families seized the opportunity to start the four day countdown to Christmas Day, which falls on Monday.
We embraced the spirit of Christmas through The Selma Times-Journal’s annual Special Section, Letters to Santa.
We always encourage the children to speak their minds on whether they were good and want they want for Christmas. We also thank the Elementary Schools and their teachers for encouraging their students to speak their minds. We enjoyed putting the special section together and hope that you enjoy.
We’re grateful for the time to spend with our spouses, parents, children and grandchildren to celebrate Dec. 25.
To the residents of Selma and Dallas County, have a Merry Christmas.
