The Valley Grande City Council held its final council meeting of 2023 on Monday.

The Sewer System and Pole Barn Quote were the biggest items on the agenda.

The entire council was present: Mayor Wayne Labbe, council members Kay Davidson, Sara Day, Bruce Hughes, Robby Rose and Treasurer Kim Harris.

Labbe said there were no updates for the repairs to the manhole cover at the sewer system, but officials will take a look early in the New Year.

The city council approved delaying bids for the Pole Barn Quote for about a month. Labbe said that the council did not have to put out bids during that time and can wait. Labbe said money will come from the Capital Improvement and insurance money.

The next Valley Grande city council meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 5 p.m. in city hall. The date is moved because New Year’s Day falls on Monday, the city council’s regular meeting date.
