A Minter man died in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday night.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA),  Latrell V. Carmichael, 35, was fatally injured around 5:10 p.m. when the 2002 Buick Century that he drove left the roadway, struck a tree, overturned, and caught fire.

Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey said that Carmichael was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Dallas County Road 59 near Dallas County 57, approximately five miles south of Minter.

No further details are available as ALEA troopers in the Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the accident.
