Morgan Academy honors football players at Fall Banquet

Morgan Academy honored its football players at the Fall Banquet on Dec. 7.

Senators head coach Danny Raines announced the award winners.

Milton Hand earned five awards: Most Valuable Player, AISA All-Star, co-defensive player of the year, Elliott Moseley Coaches Award and Raines Heart Award.

Here are the other honorees:

Hardy, Haugen, Harrison Award – -Davis Fuller 

-AISA All-Stars – Milton Hand and Davis Fuller 

-The Hustle Award – Davis Fuller and Ben Duran 

-Utility Man Award – Will Colquett, Patrick Johnson, Wood Jones, and Travis Jones

-Most Improved Defensive Player – Jack Johnson and Thomas “Blue” Atchison 

-Most Improved Offensive Player – Rhett Thomas and Parker Hewston

-Outstanding Lineman Award – Caine McLaughlin 

-Special Teams Player of the Year – Mekhi Thompson 

-Defensive Player of the Year – Milton Hand and Ryall King

-Offensive Player of the Year – Caden Tellier 

-Most Valuable Player – Milton Hand.

The Varsity Water Girls honored were: Madge Minter,Ally Spivey, Millan Beers, Molly Bohannon and Emma Jones.

The Field Painters honored were: Madge Minter, Ally SpiveyHope Holladay, Lelia Kelly, Anne Hayes Utsey, Anna Grace Ingram, Mary Peyton Meeks, Taylor Roberts, Emma Jones and Libby Pearce.

Flag service award went to Jack Bearden.

Managers award went to: Lance Ward, John Rivers Oliver and Rex Oliver.

The Senators’ junior varsity football players were honored:

Most Improved Player – Lane Osborn..

-Best All Around Player – Spur McIntyre.

-Best All Around Fullback (Lineman) – Parker Hewston.

-Best Special Teams Player – Wood Spivey.

-Best Offensive Player – Patrick Johnson.

-Best Defensive Player – Thomas Clay Atchison.
