The Meadowview Christian School (MCS) Junior Varsity Volleyball team repeated as AISA State Champions this year. The Lady Trojans went 22-1 under head coach Ashley Fancher. In the tournament on Oct. 14, MCS beat Evangel Christian Academy, Escambia twice to win a second  straight JV state title. Two players were selected to be All-Tournament players, Addie Fancher and Charity Simmons. Maddie Holt was tournament MVP. “We are so proud of our girls and what they have accomplished,” Fancher said. “We are grateful for the foundation they have built and for what they will accomplish in the future.” Fancher admitted that she wondered if the Lady Trojans would defend their championship. “Often success can breed complacency but in the case of this JV team, success led to a continued desire to capitalize on that success,” Fancher said.  “Our only loss came to an excellent Class 2A Lowndes team.”
