At approximately 1 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, Special Agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) launched a death investigation at the request of the Selma Police Department.
The investigation has resulted in a road closure at the intersection of U.S. Highway 80 and Water Street within the city of Selma in Dallas County.
The intersection will be blocked for an extended period of time. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
ALEA will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
