State Senator Robert Stewart presented a $5,000 check to Selma-Dallas County Public Library Executive Director Becky Nichols last week. The funds are an occasional donation given by Stewart.
“We are so proud of Senator Stewart, especially the fact that he was a reader here at the library and grew up in the children’s department,” Nichols said. “His contribution is an investment in the lives of the families of Selma and Dallas County. He has a great hope for our area and is one of the promising leaders of our future.”
Stewart said it’s “an honor to support the mission of access to literacy for all.”
