Dallas County High holds Hispanic Month Puzzle Challenge

Dallas County High School student Breanna Clevelend won the school’s Hispanic Heritage Month Puzzle Challenge.

For winning, Cleveland received a $20 gift certificate to the Valle Grande Mexican Restaurant in Valley Grande.

Dallas County High students Quinniya Walker, Makayla Smiley, Amari Green and Chyriah Moore also competed in the monthly contest.

They all received a $5 gift certificate to the Valle Grande Mexican Restaurant for their participation in the Hispanic Heritage Month Puzzle Challenge:

Dallas County Schools Library Media Specialist Cathryn K. Dozier said she was proud of Cleveland winning the contest and others competing in it. She also called it a learning experience for the kids, helping them in the future.

“The students were able to learn about people and topics related to Hispanic Heritage Month,” Dozier said. “I was excited to see the responses and participation of the students.”
