The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and Central Alabama Crime Stoppers are searching for a fugitive.

Matthew Allen Chancey, 43, is wanted for third-degree burglary. According to Dallas County Court documents,  Chancey knowingly fraudulently transferred funds via a food ID card and stole over $2,500 from the Department of Human Resources.

Records also show that was known to previously live in the area of County Road 826 in Dallas County.  Chancey is described as a white male at 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds.

Dallas County Investigators say Chancey is aware of his warrants and has possibly fled the area and may be hiding in a surrounding county.
Central Alabama CrimeStoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to the location and arrest of Chancey.
