Southside defensive back Raquez Broadnax is The Selma Times-Journal’s high school player of the week.

The junior played a key role in Southside’s 30-20 victory over Prattville Christian Academy last Friday.

Broadnax had an interception, fumble recovery, and six pass breakups in the victory that virtually clinched a playoff berth for Southside.
