Former Morgan Academy two-sport athlete Will Ingram received a scholarship from the Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation (AFAF) earlier this week.
Ingram, an Auburn senior, was honored during the AFAF annual scholarship reception. He received a $1,750 scholarship.
A 2020 graduate of Morgan Academy is studying agricultural business and economics.
“It’s an honor and a blessing to be chosen as a recipient for that scholarship,” Ingram said. “I couldn’t be more thankful for ALFA and their help as I continue to further my education.”
Scholarships from the Federation have been awarded to Auburn students since 1983.
The foundation was formed in 2009 as a platform to support agricultural education and is primarily funded through Ag Tag sales.
Morgan Academy Director of Operation Karim Oaks expected Ingram to excel after high school graduation.
“I always knew he would be successful,” Oaks said. He’s a great student and person.”
Ingram had a stellar athletic career at Morgan Academy, starring in football and soccer.
Ingram made The Selma Times-Journal All Dallas County football team in 2018 and 2019 and played in the AISA All-Star football game. In 2020, he received a $5,000 scholarship from the Selma Quarterback Club.
