Valley Grande is the first city in Dallas County to approve its Fiscal Year Budget for 2024.
We applaud Mayor Wayne Labbe, Council members Sara Day, Kay Davidson, Robbie Rose, Bruce Hughes, Jane Harris and Clerk/Treasurer Kim Harris –passing a $1.3 million budget 10 days before the 2023 Fiscal Year ends on Sept. 30. They worked together to get a budget passed in a timely manner.
For a city its size, Valley Grande has a budget over $1 million and that’s quite impressive, especially in the era of inflation.
Valley Grande City Council also works well with Dallas County Probate Judge Jimmy Nunn, Dallas County Commission, Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum and Dallas County Engineer Bill Bridges.
Valley Grande residents are grateful to the city council and so are we.
