Keith remained in the chase for a Region 3, Class 1A championship on Friday night.

Keith 38, Marengo 8:  The Bears (4-1, 2-1) prevailed in a key Region 3, Class 1A contest on the road.

Saderrion Reuben and Aveon Young each had two touchdowns for Keith. Eric Hall caught a touchdown pass from Young. Glenn Johnson also scored on a four-yard TD run.

Keith visits Southside next Friday.

Wilcox Academy 42, Morgan Academy 6: Quarterback Caden Tellier scored the only touchdown for the Senators, who fell to 1-4.

The Senators host Bessemer Academy next Friday.

Greenville 33, Selma 0:  The Saints fell to the Tigers 0-5 at Memorial Stadium extending their worst start since 1983.

Selma visits Park Crossing next week.

Holt 28, Dallas County 12: The Hornets (0-4, 0-3) dropped a Region 3, Class 4A contest at Woody Clements Stadium in Holt

The Hornets visit Carver-Birmingham next Friday.

Desean Peat and Kodell Sharp each scored touchdowns for the Hornets.

Southern Prep 84, Meadowview Christian School 44: The Trojans (0-4) fell at Wadsen Field.

Hayden Mott, Alex Johnson and Sean Pope all scored for MCS. Trent Ballard and Alex Johnson each scored two-point conversions.

MCS visits North River next Friday.
