Sr. Jane Ellen Kelly, C.S.J., 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Kansas City on Sept. 7.  She was born in 1934 in Ford City, Missouri to parents Patrick and Mary Kelly. She graduated from Mount St Scholastica Academy in Atchison, Kansas in 1952. In 1954, she was led to join the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Afterwards, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in nursing education from St. Catherine University in 1959 and a MS in nursing from UVA in 1980.

She is survived by her siblings, Mary Margaret Kelly, Br Mark Kelly, and Sr Anne Kelly.

The rosary will be prayed at 4 pm on Friday, Sept. 15 at St Peter’s Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri (701 E Meyer Blvd) followed immediately by the Mass of Christian Burial at 4:30 p.m. Interment will be at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Ford City, Missouri on Sept. 16.
