Selma native Jeremiah Wright played on the Auburn offensive line last weekend as the Tigers faced the University of Massachusetts.
The Tigers’ offensive line received high marks in their 59-14 victory over UMass last weekend at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Wright, who plays right guard, was part of a unit that allowed no sacks and gave quarterbacks plenty of time to throw. They opened up massive holes for running backs to run through and only had two penalties.
Auburn played 13 offensive linemen against the Minutemen, with the Selma native Wright among them.
A 2020 graduate of Selma High School, Wright is a fourth-year junior at Auburn. His jersey number has changed from 76 to 77.
Auburn plays at California Saturday at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN.
