Keith and Dallas County meet in football for the second straight season this Friday.
The Hornets entertain the Bears in their season-opener at Martin Field in Plantersville at 7 p.m.
The Bears (1-0) won 28-6 last year, t but Dallas County leads the all-time series record 30-4.
Keith head coach Anthony Lumpkin expects a tough, physical contest.
“They have some great athletes that’s going to play hard at every snap,” Lumpkin said.
Malcolm Jones, Aveon Young and Sederrion Reubin were among the stars that shined for Keith in a season-opening win against Bullock County.
While Lumpkin was pleased the win over the Hornets, he saw room for improvement.
“We’ve got things to work on and improve,” Lumpkin said.
Morgan Academy vs. Valiant Cross: The Senators (0-1) seek their first victory on Thursday night at Alabama State University at 7 p.m.
Morgan Academy head coach Danny Raines said he doesn’t mind the Thursday night contest.
“Valiant Cross will be very athletic,” Raines said. They aways are. We will have to have a good night.”
Cadien Tellier, Milton Hand, Speedie Pernell, Miton Hand, Rhett Thomas, John King all shined for the Senators last week against second-ranked Patrician Academy.
Meadowview Christian School at Trinity Christian: The Trojans (0-2) seek their first win of the season in a Thursday night contest against Trinity Christian.
The Trojans, coached by John Treherne, are working for their first win of the season since 2017.
