The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) found the body of a man in a vehicle Monday. The deceased, later identified as Gregory Daily, had suffered what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

According to the DCSO, deputies responded to an accident call on Highway 41 South around 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.  Officers found the victim deceased in the vehicle with a single gunshot wound.

Officers eventually identified the man as Daily, 61. Deputies also found a gun inside the vehicle and said that the gun had been fired.

Daily’s body was sent to forensics for an autopsy for investigation. Once forensic reports return, DCSO will know what caused the Daily’s death.
