Meadowview Christian School will be the first Dallas County team to open its football season on Friday.

The Trojans host Jacksonville Christian at 7 p.m. at Wasden Field.

MCC opens the season under new head coach John Treherne, who sees a different environment on campus.

“We are looking forward to opening the season,” Treherne said. “For the first time in a while, people are excited about football at Meadowview Christian School. The kids are doing things they’ve never go to do before.”

The new look Trojan offense will be led by quarterback Alex Johnson and running back Trent Ballard.

For a school its size, all 24 Trojans will be playing defensively.

MCS went winless last year, but made the AISA state playoffs.
