Snow’s Cleaning Service owner mentioned in Audit Report

Snow’s Cleaning Service owner LeMarkus A. Snow discussed his red flag in an Auditor’s Report from the Borland and Benefield P.C. Firm at Tuesday’s Selma City Council meeting.

The entire city council was present: Council President Billy Young, council members Michael Johnson, Christie Thomas, Troy Harvill, Atkin Jemison, Lesia James, Jannie Thomas and Clay Carmichael.

Snow spoke on the Citizens Request portion of the city council meeting and said he didn’t understand why he got the reg flag.

Boreland and Benefield questioned Snow’s contract work with city council members, all of whom praised what Snow does in their respective Wards. The red flag also has an Attorney General’s report.

Young, who thinks the situation might have a legal issue holding things up, said the matter will be investigated.

The city council approved the purchase of three vehicles requested by Public Works Director Henry Hicks Sr. for over $26,000.

-The city council approved the purchase of a 2017 Ford Vehicle for Parks and Recreation Director Dr. Denisha Hendricks.

Selma Mayor James Perkins Jr. was not present at the city council meeting.
