The Dallas County Homeland Security & Emergency Management Agency will conduct the regularly scheduled monthly test of the emergency outdoor warning sirens, Tuesday at 10 a.m.
The testing of the sirens is necessary to ensure that all systems are functioning properly,, according to Dallas County EMA Director Toya Crusoe.
The sirens are designed to be audible to people that are outdoors.
A weather radio should be used inside the home to alert you of severe weather.
The public is not expected to take any action in conjunction with the testing. All sirens have been repaired and should sound during this test.
This test will continue the first Tuesday of every month between 10 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., unless severe weather threatens the area.
The weather forecast for Tuesday calls for temperatures in the mid-90’s, according to National Weather Service Birmingham.
