The Valley Grande City Council held a public hearing with the Alabama Tombigbee Regional Commission on Monday.

ATRC Planning Director Brandy Wilkerson discussed the Grant process with the Valley Grande City Council:  Sara Day, Mayor Wayne Labbe, Robby Rose, Bruce Hughes, Jane Harris, Kay Davidson and Treasurer/ Clerk Kim Harris.

Wilkerson said the application for the Overlook Hills Subdivision is due next week. She also said that Valley Grande will know sometime in October or November if they get the grant.

“If Valley Grande doesn’t get the grant, they can apply again next year,” Wilkerson said.

Valley Grande’s fee to apply for the grant is over $50,000. The grant is for paving roads in Overlook Hills.
