An Orrville man dies from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle on July 15,

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports that a crash involved two vehicles and two pedestrians, at approximately 10 p.m. Saturday, July 15 about 15 miles west of Selma.

The crash occurred when the 2000 Chevrolet S10 pickup driven by William Carson Jr., 44, of Orrville, struck a 2014 Honda Accord that was parked on the shoulder of the roadway. After the initial crash, the Chevrolet struck pedestrians, Antonio Q. Simmons Jr., 23, of Orrville and Terry D. Harris, 25, of Alberta. Simmons was critically injured, transported to Vaughn Regional Medical Center in Selma and subsequently airlifted to Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery.

On July 16, Simmons succumbed to injuries sustained and was pronounced dead. Harris was also injured and transported to Whitfield Regional Hospital in Demopolis for medical treatment.

No further details are available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate
