Alpha member Mark Neely said that the Black Belt Alphas and March of Dimes have worked together for 25 years.

“We are so thankful for the programs and services provided to babies and the women of our beloved Community,” Neely said. “The partnership with March of Dimes includes one of our mainstay programs, Project Alpha which educates young people about the risks associated with teenage pregnancy.

“We hope to continue our longstanding partnership and collaboration with the March of Dimes to positively impact the lives of all of our citizens.”

Alpha member Donovan McGuire said the Black Belt Alphas enjoy working with the March of Dimes.

“We are thankful to God for allowing us to consistently invest into the mission of the great organization,” McGuire said.

For Young, its all about improving conditions for Queen City Residents.

“I am grateful that even in a year where our residents experienced a devastating tornado, the Black Belt Alphas were still able to raise funds for this noble charity.,” Young said. “In fact, this year, the Black Belt Alphas raised more than previous years. I look forward to the continued presence of March of Dines in the lives of our babies and women in the City of Selma.”
