The Selma Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. awarded scholarships to four students in the BlackBelt Region.

The students in the  Class of 2023 are:

-Jamarrian Wilson – Lowndes County

-Albernik Paige – Perry County

-Shikeria Fails – Dallas County

-Rikyah Chappell – Selma City

Each student received $1,500.

Delta Chapter President Eris J. Beasley, Vice President Krystal Dozier, Scholarship Chair Leslie Ford presented the scholarships.

The Scholarship Committee facilitated an application process, open to high school graduating seniors in our service area: Lowndes County, Perry County, Dallas County, and Selma City. After the submission and review processes were completed.

“We are excited to present our 2023 awardees, it is absolutely our pleasure to be a part of their village and wish all of them much success in their future endeavors,” Beasley said.
