The Dallas County School system has been Jamming out all summer during its summer enrichment program and the culmination of the summer is coming up in a big incentive celebration on July 6.

The reward for the 2nd Grade Students is a $250.00 Visa Gift Card. Third- 11th  grade’s reward is a $1,000.00 Visa Gift Card and for seniors $1,500.00 towards College Tuition, High School Senior Portraits and Fees, and/or Visa Card. The goal of the program is to close the achievement gaps due to the loss of instructional time during COVID with a focus on the following components:

-Building math computations with word problems

Email newsletter signup

-Critical thinking skills

-Reading comprehension with use of reading comprehension strategies

The celebration will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., at Valley Grande Elementary School.
