Dallas County Water and Sewer Authority gets Grant

The Dallas County Water and Sewer Authority recently received a $2,588,600 million grant from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.
Dallas County Water officials anticipate funding for its sewer system from the next round of BIL funds in the Fall.
State Senator Robert Stewart received a thank you letter from Dallas County Water and Sewer Authority Chairperson Evelyn Huff for his assistance.
“We just wanted to stop at this moment and say thanks to you and your team for advocating for funding of ADEM and for your continued support of our system,” Huff wrote. “We here at Dallas County Water & Sewer Authority are forever grateful for all of your efforts – and our community thanks you too.”
Stewart said he is glad that his office helped the Dallas County Water & Sewer Authority receive a grant.
“Our office is most thrilled that we were able to help the Dallas County Water and Sewer Authority secure $2,588,600 in grant funding to upgrade their water and sewage operations. All citizens have a right to clean water and adequate sewage and this grant opportunity affirms this mission. District 23 commends ADEM for their commitment to cultivating infrastructure and improving the quality of life for Alabamians. I look forward to more opportunities for the district.”
