The Valley Grande 8U All-Star team will be on their way to Eufaula Alabama for the state tournament in the early part of July in only their second year of existence. The team is coached by Andrea Holley. Coach Holley said they are excited as a team to be on their way to the state tournament and know they are going to play some tough teams but are ready for the test.

“This is our second year of having All-Stars in Valley Grande. This year about three-quarters of the way through the regular season you heard kids starting to talk about All-Stars, who they thought was going to make it and who they thought wasn’t going to make it,” Holley said. “ I know for softball, the parents get just as excited and into it as the girls do. This year we have three girls’ teams going to All-Stars. Our 8u will go the first part of July to Eufaula, AL for the State tournament. This is a big deal for all of our All-Stars. All season long these girls have worked hard, many train and work with people during the off-season and go to different camps. The girls’ teams are continuing to work hard not only preparing for their tournaments but also fundraising to help cover traveling expenses.”
