Summer Art Camp will start second week in June

One of Selma’s oldest summer traditions will start in two weeks at Charlie “Tinman” Lucas Studio.

Summer Art Camp will be held in two different sections: June 12-16 and July 10-14.  Times for both sections will be Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, 9 .a.m.-Noon.

Lunch and snacks will be included. Fee for the entire week will be $150 per child and enrollment is first come first serve.

Kids must be 8 years old and up.

Program director Candi Duncan said participants will be able to get their hands involved with ceramics, wood sculpture, domestic arts and weaving.

The camp is presented by the Selma-Dallas County Historic Preservation Society and Charlie Lucas Tin Man Studio.
