Dallas County held its Senior Awards Ceremony last week.
The seniors received over $2.5 million in scholarships. Academic Scholarships, Departmental Awards, and Community Awards were also awarded.
“The acceptance letters and scholarship offers have rolled in for months, but the hard work started years ago. The senior Class of 2023 has demonstrated that commitment and consistency pays off. This is what academic excellence looks like. I am proud of what the senior Class of 2023 has achieved and I am looking forward to what they will accomplish in the future,” said Dallas County High School’s Counselor Ashley Hardy.
Daveon Jones, has been accepted into the United States Naval Academy.
According to Prepscholar, “Only 8.5% of applicants are accepted into the academy which means the school is extremely selective.”
