Our opinion: Dallas-Wilcox BAMA Club remains strong

The Dallas-Wilcox BAMA Club added to its stellar reputation across the Black Belt Region.
Seventeen scholarships were awarded to the Class of 2023 and two students received recognition.
Sarah Free (Morgan Academy), Kennadi Ballard (Meadowview Christian School), Randall Beers (Morgan Academy), Perrin Utsey (Morgan Academy), Willie Davis (Dallas County), Mar’Sheuntra Gunn (Southsde), Aniya Mitchell (Selma High), Cameron Orr (Selma High), Eria Goldsby (Selma High), Madison Smith (Selma Hig), Roosevelt Towns III (Southside), Mary Combs (Alabama Christian), More Forest Bell (Wilcox Academy) Amyrrea Acoff (Selma High), Miranda Rose (Dallas County), Jaylen Sellars (Alabama School of Math and Science), , Jaylen Johnson (Dallas County) received scholarships with a combined value of $40,000 and will attend the University of Alabama this fall. A’neisha Dennis (Selma High), Iyana Moore (Southside) were recognized.

For that, we applaud Dallas Wilcox BAMA Club President Ronnie Leet (Barbara), Anne Williamson, Buddy Perkins, James McNeill, Ed Greene (Sandy), Beau Boyd, Tom Glover Ill, Laura Beth Boyd for help making kids’ dreams come true.
