A person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Dallas County on Thursday morning.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports that a 2004 Honda Accord left the roadway, struck a tree and caught fire, killing a person around 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

ALEA is investigating the accident and still trying to identify the driver.

The crash occurred on Dallas County 540, y eight miles east of Selma.

No further details are available as Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the accident.
