A Selma man was killed Saturday afternoon.

According to Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford, Jevon Hall, 28, was fatally shot around noon on Saturday afternoon at the 1300 block of Highland Avenue, near Hibbett Sports.

“At approximately 12 pm, the Selma Police Department received a call in reference to shots being fired in the 1300 block of Highland Avenue,” Fulford said. “Upon arrival of SPD, officers observed Jevon Hall laying on the ground with gunshot wounds and unresponsive.  Hall was transported to VRMC and pronounced deceased by Dallas County Coroner Alan Dailey.”

Fulford also said that no suspects have been identified at this time. The case remains under investigation by the SPD. Detectives are actively investigating the case.
