The Keith Bears took care of business on Wednesday night defeating Wilcox County by a final of 13-3.
Arthur Moore took the win for the Bears on the mound. He recorded seven strikeouts in the game. Anthony Robinson came in relief to close out the game and had five strikeouts for himself. On the offensive side of the ball Keith was feeling it at the plate. Antoine Tower had a big night going 2 of 3 from the plate. Bears head coach Anthony Lumpkin said despite the win the boys looked rusty due to just coming off spring break.
“We were really rusty after coming off of spring break and having several games being canceled due to not having any place to play our home games,” Lumpkin said.
The Bears will be at home again Thursday night as they take on Ellwood JV beginning at 3:30 with the varsity to follow.
