“Engineers are making an effort to get the assessment back to the City as soon as possible,” Taylor said. “Once received, the work will be bided out.”

Bloch Park is unusable to play home games for Selma High, Southside High and Keith High. Baseball season began in February.

Taylor said its uncertain when Memorial Stadium, home football games for the Saints, will be available.

“At this time, the city is unable to determine if the facilities will be ready in time for football season,” Taylor said.

Selma City Schools Superintendent Dr. Zickeyous Byrd said last week that he’s talking with the City of Selma on getting Memorial Stadium for the fall.
