Terri Sewell will Host Dallas County Relief Update Tuesday

U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) will host a Disaster Relief Update to provide the Selma City Council, Selma Mayor, and local Dallas County elected officials Tuesday with an update on recent developments regarding disaster relief and recovery efforts at City Hall.

Officials will have the opportunity to ask any questions and provide clarity on the recent developments regarding disaster relief efforts.

Around 10:45 a.m. at City Hall, Sewell will host a press conference with the Dallas County EMA Director, Selma City Council President, and a representative from the Office of the Mayor.

The meeting will be the latest in an ongoing federal, state, and local partnership to recover and rebuild in Alabama’s 7th Congressional District following the January 12 tornado that took a direct hit on Selma.

Last week, President Joe Biden increase dthe federal cost share for the FEMA Public Assistance program for debris removal and emergency protective measures to 100%
