First Saturday in December will be loaded with Christmas events

The first Saturday in December will be a busy day.

The City of Selma will have its Christmas Parade on December 3 at 11 a.m. The parade will start in downtown Selma. The city presents, “A Musical Christmas in The City of Lights.”

At the monthly first Saturday in Selma event will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Play Selma, located at 1122 Water Avenue, with live music from Dirty Mirrors.

Sweet Advantages, YNOT & Tally-Ho Street Kitchen will be the food trucks available.

The St. James Hotel will also be open for lunch and a full bar from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

People are encouraged to purchase a passport at the 5 &Dime and visit all of the stores for a chance to win prizes.

Here are other events happening on December 3:

-Christmas, Crafts, and Cookies, 10 a.m. at Old Cahawba Archaeological Park in Orrville.

-Wannabe Rescued Annual Santa Photos, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

-Craft Show & Entertainment at The Venue on 37 at 9 a.m. at The Venue on 37, located at 8600 County Road 37 in Valley Grande.
