SEC Network Anchor Alyssa Lang enjoyed her first visit to Selma.
Lang was the guest speaker at the Selma Quarterback Club on Monday at the George P. Evans Building. It was the final QB meeting of the year.
The Charlotte, North Carolina native passionately spoke about her start in sports broadcasting. “I knew at an early age that sports broadcasting was for me,” Lang said. “My dad knew I was obsessed with college football. I wanted a career in sports.”
Lang, who graduated from the University of South Carolina, began working for the SEC Network in 2015. Lang said the two interesting football coaches in her opinion are Mike Leach of Mississippi and Ole Miss’ Lane Kiffin.
“Mike Leach is very passionate about eloping,” Lang said. “He encouraged me and my fiance to elope. Lane Kiffin has an interesting following on Social Media.”
Lang said that Carnell “Cadillac” Williams should get consideration to become Auburn’s head football coach. She praised the team’s high energy level under the interim coach.
