Selma High concludes its non Region 3-5A vacation this week.
The Saints (3-2) entertain Park Crossing on Friday night at Memorial Stadium.
The Saints are coming off a 36-6 thrashing of Greenville on the road, which safety Dakaari Nelson added another Pick-6 to his resume.
“We are going to continue to work,” Saints coach Willie Gandy said. “We will continue working on ourselves because at the end of the day, we’re the only ones that can hurt us.”
Morgan Academy at Wilcox Academy: The Senators (2-2) play their second straight road contest.
Morgan Academy coach Danny Raines singled out several performers against Fort Dale last week: TB Clements, Milton Hand, Rhyne Williams, John Allen Ingram, Allen Michael Creech and CJ Crocker.
“The kids did a superb job,” Raines said. “They prepared well all week and really performed at a very high level. I’m so glad for them. They are great kids and it was great to see them have this kind of success against a good football team.”
Carver-Birmingham at Dallas County: The Hornets attempt to build momentum at Martin Field in Plantersville.
The Hornets’ defense was stellar against Holt, forcing four turnovers and limiting big plays.
Meadowview Christian School at Southern Prep: The Crusaders (0-5) continue to search for first win of the season.
