A Selma man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Dallas County last weekend.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Joseph J. Martin, 47, was fatally injured when the 2003 Toyota Tacoma he drove left the roadway and struck a tree.

Martin and the vehicle were located on Monday. Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident happened around 11:40 p.m. May 20 at Alabama 14 near the 125 mile marker, about seven miles east of Selma.

No further details are available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the accident.
