Frank L. Calloway passed away May 12, 2022 at the age of 95. He was born August 21, 1926 to the late Joshua and Dora Bell Golson Calloway in Benton.

He grew up in Potter’s Station and was the owner and operator of Huckaby’s Men’s Store, Prestidge Shop, Red Shed Factory Outlet and One Way Book Store until his retirement in 2012. He also pastored Harper’s Chapel Presbyterian for thirteen years and Meadowview Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Maxine Gilmore Calloway; granddaughter, Amanda Maxine Calloway; siblings, Hortense (Robert) Quarles, Mary Ellen (Hoyed) Davis, Louise (Tom) Rodgers, F.G. (Edna) Calloway and Mabry (Mae) (Ruth) Calloway.

He is survived by his children, Frank (Willene) Calloway, Jr., Oscar Wayne Calloway and Tim Calloway; grandchildren, Jeremy (Lauren) Calloway, Lisa (Adam) McHugh, Ethan Calloway and Courtney (Jeremy) Harville; great-grandchildren, Landry Calloway, Cooper Calloway, Catesby Calloway, Press Calloway, Coston Calloway, Payton Geary, Brody McHugh, Beau Harville and Maggie Harville.

Graveside services will be Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Tom Stacey officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Gideon’s International.
