Selma Police searching for teenage murder suspect

The Selma Police Department has identified a suspect in the murder of a Selma man last weekend.
The SPD is searching for Isaiah Childs, 19, wanted for his connection in a May 7 shooting that occurred on the 400 block of Water Avenue.
The shooting resulted in the death of Marquel Livingston, 34. The SPD said Childs is considered to be armed and dangerous at this time.
“This is another tragedy in Selma,” Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson said.

Livingston’s murder is the seventh murder of Selma in 2022.
