Councilwoman Sara Day, who’s in charge of special events, said that participants must bring their own easter baskets.

The event is sponsored by the City of Valley Grande and churches in the area.

The Egg Hunt will take place the week before Easter and a day ahead of Palm Sunday.

The event was held last year two weeks after Easter because heavy rainstorms postponed the event twice.

Valley Grande will also host Art in the Park on May 7  at Valley Grande Walking Trial from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Arts and Crafts, Vendors, food trucks, activities for kids and live music will be at the event.

Registration ends on April 22.

All Vendors must have an active City of Valley Grande Business License, or purchase a Special Event/One Day License through City Hall at time of completing registration.
