Long Lewis Automotive Group recently named LaTanglia Williams as their January “Hero of the Month.”

Long Lewis owns Long Lewis Ford and Long Lewis Honda in Selma, and designates a local citizen each month as their “Hero of the Month,” for their commitment to community service in Selma. 

“Latanglia’s efforts to help others goes above and beyond her call of duty,” Long Lewis said in a statement. “She does remarkable work in the community serving those who are incarcerated; providing underwear, socks, and toiletries to both the women and men.

“Latanglia just recently provided Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for all the inmates, both women and men. She’s a servant for her community because she’s always giving to those who are in need.”

Nominees for Local Hero of the Month are chosen based on contributions made to the community. The chosen nominee will be given $500 for “Outstanding Community Service” and a Certificate of Appreciation.
