Travels with Darley will appear in Selma next Wednesday

A PBS host will visit Selma next week to explore the city’s Civil Rights history.
PBS host Darley Newman, as part of the Travels with Darley program, will be in Selma on January 12.
Newman will share her visit to Selma as she travels the Civil Rights Trail, exploring the city’s rich history and hospitality.
The event will be held from 5:45 p.m. until 7:15 p.m. and presented virtually by Smithsonian.
Newman hosts the Travel TV series. where it goes across the country for food, culture and adventure.
“Travels with Darley” is on PBS stations and Create TV. It began as a web series on AOL, Amazon Shorts, Huffington Post, MSN, becoming popular and went to TV in 2016.
Each episode introduces viewers to diverse cultures and traditions and what makes each location truly unique. Darley’s on-camera local counterparts are the true stars of each episode, as they lead Darley through their world.
Newman is a successful producer, videographer, editor, director, writer and TV host.
This is a ticketed event with a limited number of free passes available for redemption on a first-serve basis by emailing email@example.com.
Tickets are $20 member, $25 non member.

-If you register multiple individuals, you will be asked to supply individual names and email addresses so they can receive a Zoom link email. Please note that if there is a change in program schedule or a cancellation, we will notify you via email, and it will be your responsibility to notify other registrants in your group.
-Unless otherwise noted, registration for streaming programs typically closes two hours prior to the start time on the date of the program.
-Once registered, patrons should receive an automatic email confirmation from CustomerService@SmithsonianAssociates.org.
