The Zeta Phi Beta Chapter in Dallas County closed the year on a strong note.
The Dallas County Zetas from the Gamma Alpha Alpha Zeta Chapter spent part of the Christmas holidays volunteering their services with The Salvation Army last month.
Dr. Denisha Hendricks, Dr. Constance Hendricks, Salvation Army Rep, Dr. Shelicia Ford-Morton, and Shelly McGee were the Dallas County Zetas that worked with the Salvation Army.
McGee said it was important for the Zetas to help with the Salvation Army Drive.
“The Dallas County Zetas will not allow COVID-19 stop them from their annual support of the Selma Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign,” McGee said. “Once again, the chapter had to pivot but continues to make a financial contribution.”
The Dallas County Zetas had a successful year in 2021. The Zetas participated in the City of Selma Christmas Parade, volunteered at the Michael D. Johnson Foundation Veterans’ Day Breakfast and awarded a scholarship to former Dallas County High School 2021 graduate Aaliyah Simmons. The award was made by the GAAZ scholarship committee, Dr. Barbara Wilder, Chair of the Dallas County Zetas.
